![]() ![]() Vault 101 has no doctor whatsoever when James first starts shopping for a Vault. I know that Vault 101 allegedly brainwashes its dwellers, but I don't buy that the brainwashing of this "no one ever enters and no one ever leaves" stuff would be overlooked when there is inescapable evidence that this is, in fact, not the case.Īm I missing something here that blindingly obvious, or does it just not make sense? And please, do refrain from "becuz bethsda" answers! Logically, someone would have noticed this newcomer. Wouldn't the experiment be shattered if the Overseer just let some guy and his kid into the vault? You're standing around one day doing your normal vault dweller thing, you got to bed and you wake up the next day suddenly there's some new middle aged guy who the Overseer claims is the chief physician, and his child. The radio transmissions were actually recorded before the bombs even fell, and in many cases described a world even more horrible than the reality of the nuclear wasteland. While the Overseer was able to interact and visit the outside world via radio transmissions and a secret tunnel from his sealed office, the rest of the inhabitants were told that Vault 101 was never sent an “all clear” signal, while faked radio transmissions described a nuclear-ravaged world gone mad, with absolutely no hope of existence outside of a Vault. Obviously, James was able to get into the vault around 2258* (the year his child was born) but how was he able to do this? The vault's experiment was "to test the role of the Overseer in a community that remains indefinitely isolated from the outside world. He then will realize that the Vault won't survive more than a generation or two no matter how many supplies they may receive.Īfter realizing this, he know what he must do to saved the Vault. The first one is to tell him about the Vault 101 security guards are planning an assaulting the Rebels, and the second way (Is the one I prefer.) is to tell the Overseer the Vault won't survive much longer. And once the there the Vault Overseer told the Lone Wanderer mission was to keep the people inside the Vault pure genetic material and not to get them contaminated by the Wasteland.Īnd there two way to Vault 101 open. After Amata Almodovar told the Lone Wanderer what she learned and what he learned from Vault 101 cell, the Lone Wanderer went speak with her Father, Overseer Alphonse Almodovar.
